Development history
The transfer robot is an industrial robot that can perform automated handling operations. The earliest handling robots appeared in the United States in 1960, and two types of robots, Versatran and Unimate, were first used for handling operations. Handling operations refer to holding a workpiece with a device, which refers to moving from one processing location to another. The handling robot can install different end effectors to complete various workpiece handling tasks in different shapes and states, greatly reducing the heavy physical labor of humans. More than 100000 handling robots are used worldwide, and are widely used in machine tool loading and unloading, automatic production lines for stamping machines, automatic assembly lines, stacking and handling, and automatic handling of containers. Some developed countries have established the maximum limit for manual handling, and those exceeding the limit must be completed by handling robots.
Moving robots are a high-tech emerging in the field of modern automatic control, involving disciplines such as mechanics, mechanics, electrical hydraulic and pneumatic technology, automatic control technology, sensor technology, single-chip technology, and computer technology. They have become an important component of the modern mechanical manufacturing production system. Its advantage is that it can complete various expected tasks through programming, and it has the respective advantages of human and machine in terms of its structure and performance, especially reflecting artificial intelligence and adaptability.
